The use of drones continues to be a controversial issue at home and abroad, sparking a debate centering on the ethical, legal, economic and strategic implications of the use of drones. Rachel Stohl, who led a year-long task force on U.S. Drone Policy, discusses a new set of recommendations for U.S. drone policy.

In April, 24 high school students from sub-Saharan Africa came to Portland as part of the U.S. Department of State Pan-Africa Youth Leadership Program. One of their main goals in Portland was to develop an action project to implement in their communities, utilizing the skills and techniques learned during the program.
