Climate Change Adaptation (YP Discussion Group)

7PM: WEDNESDAY, APRIL 11, 2012 MADISON'S GRILL, 1109 SE MADISON (MAP) With so little action being taken by the international community to stop climate change, it is becoming increasingly likely that adaptation and geoengineering will be used after change occurs.  If the negative effects of climate change appear gradually, these may be the most cost effective responses.  If the effects are sudden, it will be too little too late.  Given what we currently know about climate change, is adaptation a smart strategy?  Do developed countries have an obligation to pay for adaptation measures in underdeveloped countries?  What kind of adaptation is most likely to occur?
