YP C.U.L.T.: Identidad Desaparecida Exhibit by Silvia Levenson
Events | Young Professionals
Join the Young Professionals of the World Affairs Council for this month's C.U.L.T. at Bullseye Projects to view Silvia Levenson's international touring exhibition, Identidad Desaparecida. The show, dedicated to the Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo, tells the story of hundreds of children who were kidnapped during Argentina's Dirty War. The centerpiece of the exhibit is a collection of 119 articles of infant clothing made out of colored glass to commemorate the 119 children whose kidnapping cases were resolved, and who were able to rediscover their biological families, thanks to the tireless work of the Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo.
Join us at 5:30pm to view the exhibit on your own, and at 6:00pm, we'll have the great privilege of a private tour led by Michael Endo, the Curator for Bullseye Projects. At around 6:30pm, we'll head over to 10 Barrel Brewing to discuss the exhibit over some drinks. The first round's on us!
This event is free, but please register below so we can provide the gallery with a headcount.
C.U.L.T., A text-speak acronym for "C U Last Tuesday", is a monthly program put on by the Young Professionals of the World Affairs Council of Oregon. The theme and format of the event changes from month to month, but what doesn't vary is the promise to entertain, educate, and broaden your horizons. Invite your friends and we'll see you on the last Tuesday of each month!
