YP C.U.L.T.: Private Tour - Portland Japanese Garden

Events | Young Professionals

Join the Young Professionals for a private tour of the Portland Japanese Garden for this month’s CULT!

Designed in 1963 and born out of a belief in the power of cultural exchange, the Portland Japanese Garden encompasses 12 acres with eight separate garden styles, and includes an authentic Japanese Tea House, meandering streams, intimate walkways, and a spectacular view of Mt. Hood.

When His Excellency Nobuo Matsunaga, the former Ambassador of Japan to the United States, visited the Portland Japanese Garden, he proclaimed it to be “the most beautiful and authentic Japanese garden in the world outside of Japan.”

Join us for a private tour of this magnificent garden!  You’ll also be among the first to experience the newly opened Cultural Crossing and Cultural Village – designed by world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma.

Time: Tour starts at 5:30pm

Cost: $5/person. Registration is required.

C.U.L.T., A text-speak acronym for "C U Last Tuesday", is a monthly program put on by the Young Professionals of the World Affairs Council of Oregon. The theme and format of the event changes from month to month, but what doesn't vary is the promise to entertain, educate, and broaden your horizons. Invite your friends and we'll see you on the last Tuesday of each month!
