Maria has been President of the World Affairs Council of Oregon for 7 years and is also a member of the national board of the World Affairs Councils of America. Prior to this she worked in international trade as Managing Director of an import company based in the Philippines with manufacturing operations in 4 countries and global distribution; she later served as Director of Business Assistance at Oregon’s International Trade Institute. Maria lived in Croatia as a student and has traveled extensively in over 60 countries. Maria has a special affinity for Morocco, having lived there for two years and been immersed in all-things-Maghrebi for over 30 years.
