Teach the World Workshop #1:
Understanding Islam to Enrich Civic Education and Diversity in Schools
 
Session topics include:
·         Overview of the fundamental beliefs of Islam
·         Brief history of Muslims in the United States and Oregon
·         Addressing stereotypes of Islam
·         Background on the meaning of Islamophobia
 
*Each session will make connections to the classroom.
