Earlier this spring, two Oregon students traveled to Serbia for a follow-on exchange to last fall’s Serbian Youth Leadership Program hosted by the World Affairs Council of Oregon.
Two Oregon students will be traveling to Serbia this month as a follow-on exchange to last fall's Serbian Youth Leadership Program. Josie Inez of LEP High School and Alex Liljenquist of Trillium Charter School will travel with 13 other American teenagers on this two week exchange funded by the U.S. Department of State
Alice Nkom’s recent return to Portland provided a rare glimpse into the impact of the Council, its members and the greater Portland community on future and current leaders of the world.
Three local students will be selected to participate alongside Iraqi and American teens in a four week leadership program taking place in Vermont, Kentucky, and Washington DC from July 14–August 9.
In December the World Affairs Council of Oregon hosted an Open World Delegation from Portland’s sister city, Khabarovsk, Russia.
