International Speaker Series--2015 Series Announcement Coming Soon!
The International Speakers Series was initiated in 2000 to celebrate the World Affairs Council of Oregon’s 50th anniversary. Since its inception, the Series has become the nation’s premier speaker series focusing on the most pressing global topics of our time. Each year, the Series brings prominent international leaders to Portland, including Madeleine Albright, Jane Goodall, Thomas Friedman, Mikhail Gorbachev, Desmond Tutu, Bill Clinton, Sandra Day O’Connor, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Condoleezza Rice, Bono, and many more.
Information about our 2015 International Speaker Series will be coming in a few short weeks. New perspectives, analyses, and relevant themes coming out of a range of developed and developing nations will be explored by some of the top political figures, humanitarians, historians, and scholars at work today.
