I support WorldOregon because I believe that engaging across the globe for the purpose of understanding other peoples and cultures develops mutual empathy, which builds bridges and allows us to work collaboratively to address global issues.

I am excited about WorldOregon's future, because its mission is just as important today as it was when the organization was first founded. The global political and social environment is becoming increasingly complex, but we have the opportunity to continue to deliver on a simple truth: Through mutual understanding and empathy, we can build relationships that support partnership in addressing global issues.

I have lived around the world: I have lived around the world, in the South Pacific, Central America, the Middle East, and in Asia. A favorite place for me and my family is a tiny island in Malaysia called Rawa Island. I've always loved to travel, not to simply see places but to experience peoples and cultures. Professionally I have worked in many settings (large and small law firms, consulting, large corporation), and my superpower is my love for learning and applying my professional capabilities in new contexts. Oregon has been home my whole life, even when we've lived far away, and I love the mountains to climb and the beaches to wander.
